Bob & Carl's Auto Body was started in the early 1960's by two fresh Dunwoody Auto Body Graduates, Bob Nelson and Carl Rivers. The original location in Crystal, MN at the intersection of Bass Lake Road and County Road 52 (now County Road 81) served the business well until their move to Osseo, MN in 1969.

More than just the location changed in 1969 as Carl decided to move on in life and Greg Smith signed on to fill his shoes. The next big change came when Jeff Nelson, Bob's son, became Greg's partner in 1995 when Bob retired. Today Bob & Carl's Auto Body is owned and operated by Greg Smith and Jeff Nelson. People always ask "Why is it called Bob and Carl's when you guys are Greg and Jeff".

Looking back at the history and the longevity of the name, you just don't go changing a good thing.
